Volupte, The Most Decadent Little Supper Club In London. A elegant 3 course champagne meal accompanied by a famous Burlesque cabaret show.
Elegant, retro supper club Volupte hosts a wide variety of performers and eccentric entertainment in its cosy Moulin Rouge-style basement, with ivy hanging from the ceiling and candlelit tables arranged around a small stage area and piano.
There are cabaret shows from Wednesday to Saturday. Afternoon Tease takes place on selected Saturdays, with burlesque entertainment and a gracious afternoon tea of champagne, finger sandwiches, home-made scones and mini pastries. Every Friday night there's a different club night from 10pm till 3am, including The Black Cotton Club - a vintage-theme affair with live music from the 20s - 40s. Perfect for dressing up like an old-time Hollywood star and learning the lindyhop!
Evenings might feature Ivy Paige's Scandalous - an '18th-century romp', or the Marquis of Gray's Great Exhibition, cabaret with acrobats, sword dancing and a bevy of burlesque beauties.
The dinner menu has a modern European bent, with dishes such as with the vodka-marinated salmon steak with new potatoes and beetroot purée or duck leg confit with lentils. Retro cocktails are served in an upstairs bar.
*The 3 course dinner is for 2 people maximum
