Title:A really funny and captivating read

Review: The book by Jonas Jonasson and Rod Bradbury made my smile from the start. "The hundred year old man who climbed through a window and disappeared" is a long title, but the book is funny all the way through. There is a slight reminder of Forest Gump, but the story is entertaining and well-written. more >

I love the way its written from multiple perspectives (Jacob, his mum, his brother theo, a police officer and Jacob's lawyer). The storyline is great and I could easily empathise with the whole family. I really recommend this book as... more >

Review: When Barry Fairbrother dies in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils... Pagford is not what it... more >
