This review is about Red Rooster Energy Drink. This is another energy boosting drinks that could be called a cheap substitute for Red Bull, essentially it is the same drink, but from a different manufacture and with different packaging etc...

This is not as highly carbonated unlike other similar products where there is usually quite a bit of gas when you open the drink. I am told the smell is a sickly and sweet kind of smell similar to red bull. This drink tastes very similar to Red Bull in my opinion and this is one of the closest drinks I have found to Red Bull.

This drinks concentrated levels mean that you get 30mg of caffeine in every 100ml. There are 25g of sugar per 250mls, and it should give you around 120 calories per 250mls. This is not too bad in comparison with other energy drinks of similar nature. It is cheaper than Red Bull but in my opinion you won’t really notice any difference especially if you are mixing it with spirits.

Overall I would say this drink tastes quite nice, it is not particularly gassy which is good, and does the trick. Good for having at party’s like New Year parties as you can get it in litre bottles for less than what it would cost for a 4pack of Red Bull so you could get more and ensure you won’t run out.

Verdict: I enjoyed drinking this drink on its own and with mixers. I would recommend this product because it is very similar to Red Bull at a fraction of the cost. So it is well worth buying a few bottles especially for parties such as New Year ones. This would be good for seeing in the New Year with to give yourself a much needed energy boost.
