I recently bought and watched the whole box set again. This series is totally addictive once you start watching, and as expected with a Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks production, it has a brilliant cast. The series follows 1st company, paratroopers for 101st airborne during the end of the second world war. The fighting scenes and special effects look so real and its great how they use real survivors at the end of every episode to talk about what happened and their experiences. Band of Brothers is well worth buying, and I got the whole box set from Tesco for £15. I'm also looking forward to a new series (from the same directors) which is coming out shortly on Sky, called 'The Pacific'. The new series follows a regiment of the US Navy (around the same time as Band of Brothers) and during battles with Japan after pearl harbour. The only negative is it shows the Americans as heros when they came into the war a long time after us!
