| Title: | Hardrock Hotel San Diego |

My favourite hotel so far and i've been lucky enough to stay in some cool hotels the past few years. From the second you walk in to the minute you leave the service is great and the interior is nearly too funky. On check in, they ask you "what music do you want playing in your room", and the rooms themselves are massive with huge bathrooms and a 42inch plasma Tv. When travelling around California in 2008 we used to leave the booking of the hotels until two days before and then book on expedia so you get a huge discount (around 40%). If you're staying at a hardrock try and be there on a Sunday as they have Rehab pool parties, these things make Space in Ibiza look rubbish but it is a little pretentious but then that might be the california thing. The hotel has everything you could want, a cool gym (with massive free red apples), a cool gift shop and a bar and restaurant. The location is right in the centre of everything and close to the bay and San Diego stadium. The only negative which luckily didn't get noticed by the rental company was that the valets decided to put a big dent in our hire car but we didn't realise till a few hours after leaving. Well worth a visit, and off the top of my head I think the rooms were about £130 a night upwards but you could get 4 adults in a room with 2 big king size beds.
