By far the best beach destination in America. They say New York never sleeps but Miami literally never closes its doors. With restaurants open all night on South Beach you will never be in a rush to grab a table again. The nightlight is amazing and with the added art deco effect its definitely one for the camera enthusiast. We stayed in North Beach which is a taxi ride away (or a 30 minute stroll down the beach) from Ocean Drive in south beach but is still lively with bars and entertainment.

With the Key West only a 3 hour drive south and Orlando a four hour drive north, its the best placed city in Florida.

If your seeking a party then Miami Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival happen in Spring Break around the end of March. If your not seeking such an active nightlife then I would avoid March.
