Perth has wonderful white, sandy and uncrowded beaches, a sunny climate, friendly and hospitable atmosphere, great parks and gardens and mouth watering seafood dining.

Perth also has an abundance of attractions and is situated less than an hour from a number of beautiful National Parks and natural bushland.
Things to do include visiting the largest set of ringing bells in the world at the Swan Bell Tower, swimming, relaxing and surfing at the more than 80kms of beaches or a ferry ride out to Rottnest island, where the crystal water bays are perfect for snorkelling.

Northbridge in central Perth is the party spot for the backpacker scene and the rowdy locals, Aberdeen Street is filled with vibrant bars and clubs which come to life from Thursday to Sunday. If its an alternative party scene you are looking for the seafront areas of Fremantle or Sunday sessions in Scarborough are an upmarket alternative.

Classed as the most remote city on the planet, Perth has many surrounding areas to check out. If your heading south then Margaret River, Albany or Denmark may offer a more rural adventure, if its north your heading then the amazing shores of Monkey Mia, Exmouth or Ningaloo Reef are scuba diving heavens.

Work is easy to come by and the construction trade offers many well paid labouring jobs for backpackers with the areas of Northbridge and Fremantle offering a variety of hostels to choose from.

This was my last place in Australia and definitely one of the best, the festival season is a must running from November to January.
